Toastmaster for the glittering royal society wedding in Salzburg when Her Royal Highness Princess Marie Therese von Hohenberg of Austria married The Honourable Anthony Bailey OBE in St. Peter's Abbey followed by a reception in the Festival Hall, Salzburg.  It was attended by 600 members of the Royal Family and guests.

'Just how does one thank so many people with kind and helpful hearts for being part of a fabulous and glittering London style evening in the centre of Rochester City. Too many people to name, yet praise must go to the Joe Loss band, celebrating its 80^th Birthday, and Stage Three, Tony Lorenzo and the two girls Sue and Helen. To all the sincere businesses and individuals who donated the excellent auction and raffle prizes and Sandra Mumford for her skilful hard work and presentation of the raffle which raised enormous sums for charity. To aF.O.R.Mof Catering (Oscar and Fiona), Dennis Hollands the Toastmaster, Brian the Photographer, Lindy Hoppers - Canterbury Hepcats, Bob Grabham – A1 event services lighting and EVERYONE but EVERYONE  who attended to show our combined appreciation for Macmillan Cancer Support, whose doctors and nurses care for so many very ill and anxious members of our families.  This, in memory of daughter Janita (Jan) Pattenden and so many others, who have bravely fought cancer only to leave behind children, loved ones and friends.'      RAISED £5,600
